Мне не верится, что прошло три года с момента нашей первой поездки на Мальту. Казалось, это было всего лишь вчера. Тогда, в 19-м мы останавливались в Марсашлоке на неделю и успели по уши влюбиться в этот невероятный тёплый остров. За ту неделю мы так и не добрались до Гозо, хотя много слышали об этом живописном месте!. Вообщем был повод вернуться, конечно же съездить на Гозо, ну и отдохнуть всей семьей..
I can't believe it's been three years since our first trip to Malta. It seemed like it was just yesterday. Then, in 2019, we stayed in Marsaxlok for a week and managed to fall head over heels in love with this incredible warm island. During that week we never went to Gozo, although we heard a lot about this picturesque island!. Of course, there is always a reason to return, to explore Gozo, perhaps and finally, have that special catch-up with the whole family..
Мы сняли вот эту виллу на Гозо в середине Июня, в тихом Гарбе, на 9 дней, и это был пожалуй, лучший отдых за последние несколько лет. Ну во первых, нас было немного больше), намного веселее, активнее в каких-то моментах и на релаксе во всём остальном.
We rented this villa in Gozo in the middle of June, in a quiet Garb, for 9 days, and it was probably the best vacation in the last few years. Well, first of all, there were a few more of us), much more fun, more active in some moments and pure relaxation in everything else.
Арендовали машину в Europcar, около €450 за всё время, отличный и быстрый сервис, рекомендую. Мы прилетели уже ближе к вечеру, и не зная толком успеем ли мы заехать в местный супермаркет на Гозо, решили заскочить по дороге из аэропорта в продуктовый. Скажу сразу, первое, что я для себя отметила, помимо выбора, это конечно же цены. Намного ниже английских маркетов, выбор зашкаливает, продукты вкуснее и ароматнее, вообщем, привет средиземноморский рай!
Rented a car with Europcar, about € 450 for 10 days, excellent and fast service, highly recommended. We arrived in the late afternoon, and not really knowing if we would have time to stop at the local supermarket in Gozo, we decided to pop in on the way from the airport to the grocery store. The first thing that I noted for myself, in addition to the choice, is, of course, the prices. Much lower than the English markets, the choice is off the scale, the products are tastier and more aromatic, in general, hello Mediterranean paradise!
В Гарбе мало туристов. Они есть, но на фоне местных, у нас складывалось ощущение, что мы одни. Вообщем какая-то непередаваемая атмосфера отдыха на частной вилле с видом на красивейшую церковь, в тишине, ну разве только пение птиц по утрам и периодические уличные разговоры местных жителей напоминали о том, что жизнь всё же идёт своим ходом. До Гозо добирались на пароме, где-то полтора часа от аэропорта до нашей виллы. Кстати, ловите лайфхак, по дороге на Гозо вы не платите за паром, но платите уже по возвращению на Мальту, что-то около €7 с человека.
Добавлю, я не выбирала специально Гарб, мы исключительно ориентировались по вилле, хотя я давно понимаю, что нет ничего лучше, когда крутая атмосфера в одинаковой степени зависит от обеих моментов.
There are few tourists in Garb. They are there, but against the background of local ones, we had the feeling that we were alone. In general, some indescribable atmosphere of relaxation in a private villa overlooking the beautiful church, in silence, well, except for the singing of birds in the morning and periodic street conversations of local residents reminded that life is still going on as usual. We got to Gozo by ferry, about an hour and a half from the airport to our villa. By the way, catch a life hack, on the way to Gozo you do not pay for the ferry, but you pay already on your return to Malta, something like € 7 per person.
I shall add, I did not choose Garb specifically, we exclusively focused on the villa, although I have long understood that there is nothing better when the cool atmosphere equally depends on both elements.
Кстати, вы готовите завтраки на отдыхе, или всё же предпочитаете отельные и прочие варианты? Мы любим готовить, и если честно, то был какой-то кайф в нашем утреннем ритуале ранних завтраков у бассейна.
Наверное, очевидный вопрос, стоит ли оно того? Гозо? Да, если вы любите эксклюзивный отдых. Потому что нет ничего лучше, чем укутавшись вечерами в лёгкий плед, наблюдать фиолетово-розовый закат с собственной виллы, с бокалом белого в руках и знать, что утром тебе ждёт не менее красивая картинка и такие же, полные жизни эмоции.
В Гарбе пара ресторанов, мы попробовали традиционную рыбу и запечённые овощи, и это то, что нам понравилось больше всего.
By the way, do you cook breakfasts on vacation, or still prefer hotel and other options? We love to cook, and to be honest, there was a kind of buzz in our morning ritual of early breakfasts by the pool.
Perhaps the obvious question is, is it worth it? Gozo? Yes, if you like an exclusive holiday. Because there is nothing better than wrapping yourself in a light blanket in the evenings, watching the purple-pink sunset from your own villa, with a glass of white in your hands and knowing that in the morning you are looking at an equally beautiful picture and the same emotions full of life.
There are a couple of restaurants in Garb, we tried traditional fish and baked vegetables and that's what we liked the most.
Впервые мы отдыхали без многочасовых прогулок или каких-то запланированных выездов, но окружённые непередаваемой красотой Гозо, этим прекрасным пейзажем и пониманием того, что десятидневный отдых нужен был всем, эффективная разгрузка за последние пару лет.
For the first time, we were on holiday without hours of walking or any planned trips, but surrounded by the indescribable beauty of Gozo, this beautiful landscape and the understanding that a ten-day escape was necessary for everyone, an effective unloading over the past couple of years.
Мы целыми днями разговаривали, перебирали фотографии, обсуждали дальнейшие планы и периодически думали о новом 23-м и что же мы всё же хотим воплотить.
Знаете, как звучит тишина? Или шум, который никогда вам не надоест? Как жара, которая ощущается совсем по другому? И вам хочется, чтобы она никогда не кончалась. Всё это мне хотелось передать в фотографиях и настроении, чтобы пересматривая Мальту вновь, мне захотелось бы окунуться в эти невероятные дни с самыми, самыми и когда-нибудь вновь оказаться на Мальте, где-нибудь на вилле у моря, ну если честно, согласитесь, что может быть лучше?
We talked all day, went through the photographs we took, talked further plans and periodically thought about the next year and our grande plans.
Do you know what silence sounds like? Or noise you'll never get bored of? Like a heat that feels very different? And you want it to never end. All this I wanted to convey in photographs and mood, so that re-watching Malta again, I would like to plunge into these incredible days with my favourite people, and one day again to return in Malta, somewhere in a villa by the sea, well, to be honest, what could be better?
