Продолжая серии о Виндзоре (первая часть, здесь), сегодня я покажу вам, и расскажу об отеле Savill Court, и пусть он находится не в самом Виндзоре, а в 10-минутах езды на машине, мой любимый спа-отель в георгианском стиле, расположившийся на просторах Windsor Great Park по праву может служить одной из отправных точек, если вы турист, или, если вы, как и я любите уютные спа, природу, и вылазку куда-нибудь в тёплый весенний день.
Обычно я беру спа-день и приезжаю сюда раз в пару месяцев. Территория отеля вдохновляет, в окружении леса, плюс красивый английский загородный ландшафт и ухоженные сады, где, конечно часто проходят свадьбы, и пока мне ещё не доводилось здесь снимать, лукавить не буду, было бы здорово, конечно! В отеле чувствуется георгианское сплетение нескольких стилей, некоторая строгость линий, лёгкий минимализм и французская утончённость, неплохо обыгранная в просторах интерьера.
К разговору об отелях, как ни странно, но хороших отелей в Виндзоре не так уж много, в соседстве с одноимённым замком и официальной резиденцией английской королевы, Елизаветы ll, отели до неприличия old-fashioned, поэтому, из тех, что возьмусь порекомендовать в центре, отель Sir Christopher Wren, кто-нибудь помнит одну из моих первых свадеб, которую я снимала именно здесь прошлым летом?
А буквально в паре минут ходьбы от Savill Court находятся цветочные сады, включая ботанический, с похожим названием Savill Gardens. Но об этом я обязательно напишу для вас в одном из следующих постов.
Continuing with my series about Windsor (you can view first part here), I thought I would share with you and take you on the journey to Savill Court hotel, albeit this place is not in Windsor itself, but rather a short 10-minute drive away, my favorite Georgian-style spa hotel located on the expanses of Windsor Great Park and can rightfully serve as one of the starting point, if you are a tourist, or if you, like myself, love a cozy spa, secluded woodland, and sled somewhere on a warm spring day. Usually I book a spa day, the grounds and the place are inspiring and perfect for relaxation, surrounded by Great Park, and a beautiful English countryside setting, where, of course, weddings are often held, and while I haven't had a chance to shoot here just yet, I will not be cunning, this would be fab, of course! Walking around the hotel you could almost feel the Georgian plexus of mixed styles, strong lines, light minimalism and French refinement, well played out in the interior spaces. Talking about hotels, suprisingly there aren't many good hotels in Windsor, in the neighborhood with Windsor castle and the official residence of Elizabeth ll, hotels are up to indecently old-fashioned, but there is one good place, by Windsor & Eton bridge, Hotel Sir Christopher Wren, do you remember one of my first weddings, which I shot here last summer? Back to Savill Court, and just a couple of minutes walk from Savill Court there are flower gardens, including a botanical garden, with a similar name Savill Gardens. But I will surely blog about this in one of my future posts.
